King Prajadhipok’s Institute Secretary-General Visits the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Strengthen Parliamentary Diplomacy and Academic Cooperation
On 29 November 2025 at 2:30 p.m., Associate Professor Dr. Issara Sereewatthanawut, Secretary-General of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute, arrived in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was officially welcomed by senior officials of the Department of Protocol (Shura Council) as a guest of the Saudi Parliament, at the VIP reception building of Riyadh International Airport.
Subsequently, the secretary-general paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Darm Boontham, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to discuss and exchange views on parliamentary relations between the two countries. The meeting was attended by representatives from Team Thailand including the Labour Attaché, the Thailand Board of Investment, and the National Intelligence Agency.
Following the discussion, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand and his spouse hosted a dinner reception at the Ambassador’s Residence in honour of the secretary-general.
On the following day, the secretary-general paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Khalid bin Abdul Karim Al-Turki, Director-General of the Department of Protocol, Shura Council, to discuss cooperation on the organization of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute’s academic conference. On this occasion, Secretary-General Issara presented an invitation letter from the President of the Thai Parliament to the President of the Shura Council to attend the 28th King Prajadhipok’s Institute Annual Congress as a special guest of Thailand’s National Assembly.
