KPI Distinguished Lecture Series 2025 “A Knowledge Exchange Platform Concerning the National Legislative Think Tank”
On December 11, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Issara Sereewatthanawut, Secretary-General of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI), assigned Mr. Nuttapong Rodmee, Assistant Secretary-General, Captain Dr. Charupol Ruangsuwan, Deputy Director of the Collage of Politics and Governance, Mr. Supanat Permpoonwiwat, Director of the Office of Peace and Good Governance, and Dr. Lertporn Udompong, Deputy Director of the Office of Research and Development, together with staff from the International Relations Unit, to welcome and host a luncheon in honour of H.E. Mr. Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Elchin Bashirov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Thailand, and delegation, on the occasion of the deputy minister’s lecture delivered to participants of the Advanced Certificate Program in Democratic Governance for Senior Executives (Class 29).
In the afternoon, H.E. Mr. Elnur Mammadov delivered a distinguished lecture and engaged in a dialogue with participants of the Advanced Certificate Program (Class 29). His presentation highlighted bilateral cooperation between Thailand and Azerbaijan, particularly in the fields of energy, automotive industry, and tourism, as well as collaboration within international frameworks such as the Non-Aligned Movement, COP29, and the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
In addition, the lecture addressed cooperation with the King Prajadhipok’s Institute, particularly through the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA), in which Azerbaijan participates as an observer country. This cooperation reflects KPI’s mandate to promote parliamentary diplomacy and facilitate international academic exchange.
The lecture was conducted in a constructive and engaging atmosphere, enriched by meaningful exchanges of perspectives. The event was honoured by the presence of Professor Emeritus Noranit Setabutr, Member of the KPI Council, and Mr. Nutthapong Rodmee, Assistant Secretary-General of KPI, who attended the session and presented a commemorative gift to H.E. Mr. Elnur Mammadov as a gesture of appreciation.
