The Chinese Embassy Welcomes TCCRC and KPI Executives to the Orientation for the 20th Mandarin Chinese Language Course for Government Officials
On 3 September 2025, Mr. Wu Zhiwu, Minister of the Chinese Embassy, welcomed General Wichit Yathip, Vice President of the Thai-Chinese Cultural Relationship Council (TCCRC), and Mr. Nattapong Rodmee, Assistant Secretary-General of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute (KPI), to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand on the occasion of the orientation for the 20th cohort of the “Mandarin Chinese Language Course for Government Officials”.
Minister Wu Zhiwu expressed his gratitude to TCCRC and KPI for their long-standing contributions to Thai-Chinese relations. Over the years, hundreds of Thai officials have been sent to study in China, becoming outstanding personnel in fostering bilateral cooperation. He also highlighted that 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and China, and encouraged students to learn about Chinese modernization to benefit their official duties.
General Wichit Yathip extended his thanks to the Chinese government and the Embassy. He congratulated the 40 selected officials, emphasizing that studying at the prestigious Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College (BLCC) is a great honor. He urged all participants to act as cultural ambassadors representing Thai civil servants.
The Mandarin Chinese Language Course for Government Officials is an academic collaboration between KPI, TCCRC, and BLCC, supported by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Chinese Embassy. For the 2025 academic year, 40 selected officials will undergo training in Beijing from September 8, 2025, to July 10, 2026.
